ATLANTA — Richard Haury, Jr., a partner at the law firm Morris, Manning and Martin in Atlanta, is assuming several executive roles at CrossLink Orthopaedics.
Haury takes over as senior executive officer, business development leader and general counsel. Additionally, Haury is assuming the role as president of WebOps, a web-based software for medical device supply and service chain management. WebOps is an affiliate of CrossLink.
According to the law firm, Haury is also responsible for seeking out investments in medical device and bioscience firms in the southeast.
As part of that effort, CrossLink plans to establish an angel investor fund for those investments.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Rick at CrossLink and its affiliated entities," said Robert Saudek, managing partner of MMM. "Rick has helped MMM develop excellent practices in the medical device, biotech and healthcare fields, and we look forward to working with him in his new role as a businessman and investor in growing medical device and other life science related companies."
CrossLink, which is privately held, is an affiliate of Strkyer Orthopaedics, an international seller of orthopaedic devices.
Haury has worked at Morris Manning Martin for more than 20 years and helped launch the Southeastern Medical Device Association.
"This is a natural extension of my work at MMM for the past two decades," Haury said in a statement. "I really enjoy providing broad-based business, legal, financial and consulting services to early stage and middle market companies, especially in the medical device area. Crosslink provides the perfect environment and platform for me to merge these skills to help medical device companies grow and succeed throughout the Southeast."
