CARY, N.C. – Ascot Technologies, a developer of applications for cell phones, will sponsor Insight Racing’s efforts again in the “Grand Challenge” put on by the Defense Advance Research Projects Agency, or DARPA.
Triangle-based Insight Racing plans to enter DARPA’s 2007 event that will pit autonomous-controlled vehicles against an obstacle course in an urban environment on Nov. 3. Insight also competed in the 2005 event, which was a 130-mile race across the Mojave Desert.
Other Insight Racing sponsors include: Advanced Vehicle Research Center, Lotus, Insight Technologies, Inc., N.C. State University, Comtrol, SICK, Auto Europe, BDMICRO LLC, HAND Wireless, PC MedEvac and Smith Anderson.
