comfort food

Everyone has their favorite comfort food. I've seen a steaming bowl of tomato soup fill the bill...snacks like pretzels or goldfish...oatmeal cookies or pecan sandies...fudge brownies or chocolate cake....
All these are fine. But my favorite comfort food usually begins with ice cream of some sort...a double waffle cone of pineapple-orange is hard to beat, or dish of rum raisin ice cream when it's in season...
But to really hit the ' need comforting now ' button , there's nothing like a freshly made banana split. The sprinkes aren't really necessary, but oh my you've got to have the whipped cream with the cherry top off to make it right. Yep, nothing like it in the world. :)

For sweet, a Hershey bar broken into all the tiny Hershies, or hot chocolate with marshmallows.
