Because they want French Toast, of course.
I have a camp stove, so I can cook eggs, bacon, pancakes, whatever if I need too. During fran I made a 4 course breakfast on my gas grill. It was a blast.

I got vienna sausages (yuck i know) various kwakackers and stuff and some non carbonated fruit drinks that taste okay if they aren't chilled...... just enough for a day or a day and a half....... and a couple cans of tuna.
Who can cook eggs or chill milk with the power off???? Well..... if they have a good generator, maybe. Most don't, but my dad does, about a quarter mile away. But I don't crash his house for a little storm.
