announcement

Am planning to go visit Battleship North Carolina, one weekend in MARCH.  http://www.battleshipnc.com/  According to mapquest, the battleship is only about a 2 hour drive from Raleigh.  Not sure of the exact date yet, as this is contingent on my husbands work schedule, but it will definitely be one weekend in March.

Note:  If you are interested in doing a private investigation of the battleship, please be sure and let me know.  One of our members let me know what a private investigation ran.  She said it runs around $60.00.  The regular price for a self guided, public tour, is $12.00.  But if you are interested in doing a private investigation, which would be just our group, Let me know.

Please feel free to give me a call, anytime.  (919)250-9224.  Beth

about paranormal enthusiasts group

This is a group for those of us who are interested in the paranormal and all that entails.  Below are basic definitions for the Paranormal and Ghosts.  Keep in mind, there are literally dozens of definitions for each, but I choose the most common.

Paranormal:  phenomena, observations, occurrences, etc: beyond the normal scope of scientific explanation, and therefore not possible to explain in terms of current understanding of scientific laws.

Ghosts:  The spirit of a dead person, especially one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons or to haunt former habitats.

If either or both of these topics peak your interest, then you've come to the right place!  This group is meant to be fun; meaning, this is for the amateur (like me), who wants to learn and investigate, but it's also for those who just want to have fun and take it lightly.

If you're interested in visiting local cemeteries, let me know.  I have a EMF meter, a digital camera and a digital voice recorder.  Bring your own equipment, too!  Let's have FUN!  Do you like things that go "bump in the night?"  I do.  We are not alone.

Do you have any true stories, or experiences you'd like to share?  Dreams count too.  Share those!  I have experienced a few things:  An apparition, a very diabolical, evil force, and had some audible experiences.  These occurred many years ago.

I believe in ghosts and demons and it is my personal opinion, the two are NOT one in the same.  Again, there are many definitions for demon, the most common:

Demon:  An evil spirit; a devil.

The picture above was taken at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, in Raleigh.

I belong to the Raleigh-Durham Ghost Tracking Meetup Group.  This is a wonderful group and we've had a lot of fun!  http://ghosts.meetup.com/175/?a=wm1mem3

Please feel free to add to the image galleries.

Everthing expressed here, with the exception of the definitions, and my personal experiences, are my opinions - not fact).

You may e-mail me at:  LamborghiniGal@bellsouth.net

Below are just a couple of good basic items that are easily affordable and very popular.  There are many more paranormal instruments available, but these two are a good start.  Here is a link to more paranormal research equipment, if you'd like to take a look:  http://www.haunted-places.com/ghostbusting_equipment.htm

EMF meters can run anywere from just under $19.00 to a few hundred.  I have "The Ghost Meter" which was very inexpensive, just under $35.00.  If you google The Ghost Meter, (click on the very top link), you'll see what I have.  My Ghost Meter has a lot of the "bells and whistles" of the high end brands.  Keep in mind, sometimes you're paying for a name!  It all depends on what you want, and your budget.

Digital voice recorders are great for a variety of uses, paranormal investigations, being one!  We have an Olympus digital voice recorder and they can run anywhere from $25.00 to several hundred.  The model we have is $99.00.  There are many other name brands available, other than Olympus.  Olympus is just what we choose.

Am ready to get out of this house.

Can we visit a local cemetery this Saturday or next...maybe???

God bless.

Rev. RB

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Still no word from the battleship, but I did just e-mail them on the 23rd. Maybe I'll hear back after the 1st of the year.

REGARDLESS: DON AND I ARE, FOR SURE, GOING TO THE BATTLESHIP IN MARCH! LOL! I sure do hope others decide to join us. We'd all have a blast!

We'll be driving alone though - no carpooling. We are probably going to see his brother, who lives in Wilmington. What I like about Wilmington is, it's really "right up the road" and a nice day trip. We'll stay over night, I'm sure! hee hee!

I want some SHRIMP!! Yum!! Shrimp panned in BUTTER! Yes, I know: FATTENING, but do I look like I care? ROF!

Beth

I just e-mailed the battleship. I asked if there were private night tours available and if so, was there a minimum. I'm sure there is.

Not sure how accurate the info. I received from another member is, regarding the night time tours. The person said they did offer them at approximately $60.00 per person, but honestly, I'm just going to wait and see what the battleship says. I'm crossing my fingers!

Beth

Deborah, thank you!! I'm just a nut. Don is the normal one. I think we balance each other out, though.

I really do want to do a cemetery night visit, whether it's just for a couple of hours or an all nighter (I prefer the all nighter).

I'm going to e-mail the battleship, about the night tour and try to find out if there is a minimum, which I'm sure there is. Then we can go from there and see who would be interested in the night tour.

Beth

Beth,

It's too bad about getting washed out Saturday, but maybe we can give it another try soon. You're always so much fun to be around.

We need to organize a cemetery night visit as well. Maybe some folks here can offer up suggestions on where to go, then we can get permission.

I really want to do the night visit at the battleship. It'll be very much worth the cost to be just the few on board. That would be such a blast!

Deborah

Hi Matthew, No! Darn. I hate I missed that. I'll try to find out what that was about. I'd love to read about it.

Thanks! :-)

Beth

Did you see the story on WRAL TV 5 today of the hospital angel ?

Thanks Beth.

Be back on January 6th.

Praying you all have the most wonderful CHRISTmas - safe and blessed in every way.

God bless.

Rev. RB
