Got an interesting flier a couple weeks ago that I thought I'd share ... for Apex Conservation Days.
I've long considered Apex to live up to its tagline, the peak of good living. And for this first annual resource conservation celebration, it sounds like an event worth attending. Scheduled speakers include mayor Keith Weatherly, Kevin Brice of the Triangle Land Conservancy and Sig Hutchinson of the Wake County Open Space and Parks. Attendees can expect events for children and youth, and adult workshops including Land Management and Energy Conservation, Protecting Land and Water and Sustainable Site Design.
If you're free and interested to hear one local Triangle town's approach to greener choices, then stop by the Apex Community Center at 53 Hunter Street from 9 AM - 4 PM.
- What is your city or town doing to address conservation?
- What methods does your household practice?
