Asheville, NC!

my favorite is blowing rock........others are asheville, highlands, brevard, and west jefferson. live in sanford, but mountain town know how to have a good downtown.

Blowing Rock, Wilmington, Swansboro, Chapel Hill, Beufort, and Raleigh are my favorite towns in North Carolina!

Highlands & Mt. Airy have really neat downtown areas. I am a native of Rocky Mount but have not lived there or in NC in 23 years but I have to say that the downtown of Rocky Mount is pretty sad!

I wish someone would help downtown Rocky Mount with the revitalization. It just seems to be having a hard time getting any interest. It would be so nice to have that warm, hometown feeling in downtown Rky Mt. Any suggestions???

My favorite downtown spot would have to be Coats, North Carolina. This small, country town is full of friendly people. It may not have big department stores, but you can always find what you need without have to drive to a big town. Yes, this town may only have two stop lights, but if you visit here, the people will light up your heart. -ADS2008

Chapel Hill, Asheville, Raleigh, Wilmington. Not a huge list, but those four are exceptional.

Downtown Edenton is a treasure. With the history, the riverfront and the little shops, it has to have a place on this list.

I really love downtown New Bern. I love the shops and old architecture.

Downtown Wilmington anytime Downtown Waynesville- Christmas time
