Mrs. Bethea has been instrumental in helping my autistic son succeed. Her dedication in developing an IEP that is individualised and truly meets his needs has been a first for our family. She saw his unique characteristics and helped plan a program just for him. Mrs. Bethea did not see him as just another child. Her ability to look at each child as an individual and help them learn is remarkable considering she has numerous children visiting her through out the day. She has made my son happy and excited to learn. He has already told her he will miss her next year when he goes to middle school. Even though we are leaving Forest Pines, I feel Mrs. Bethea will be in our lives as she has a special place in our hearts.
