Washington Elementary School

Rebecca Dunkle

According to my daughter, Ms. Dunkle is the greatest. She sure has a way with the third graders, and and my daughter has excelled as Ms. Dunkle as the teacher. We love you Ms. Dunkle.

Bob Grant

Mr. Grant was recently promoted last month to Assistant Principal at Briarcliff Elementary. Mr. Grant is a wonderfully effective teacher whom the students admire, respect and enjoy. It is a sentiment felt by numerous Washington students and their families. The memories, the stories, the adulations have been endless as he made his transition. The appreciation for what he has done for our children is more than what can be put into words. To many, he will be THE BEST TEACHER they ever experience. What we appreciate is that Mr. Grant teaches the whole child and the whole class. It is not just presenting the subject matter, but also why it is important. It is not just enforcing the rules, but rather building the character of the student. It is not teaching just to pass a test, but expecting students to take what is learned to the next level. And the kids GET IT! Mr. Grant utilizes a wonderful blend of real emotions and tools to effectively teach and control the students. They get excited by his animated stories, enjoy his goofy antics and are made confident with his praise. Conversely, they are silenced by his looks and tone and are made respectful by his discipline. A parent couldn't ask for much more.

Ida Jackson

Ms. Jackson is the most loving & caring teacher. She teaches with passion. She is the best kindergarten teacher one could ask for.
