Raleigh, N.C. — A Healthcare company with plans to build a hospital in Holly Springs made a pitch Wednesday evening for community support.
Residents packed the Holly Springs Cultural Center, at 300 W. Ballentine St., to hear from executives of Novant Health.
The Winston Salem-based company wants to build a 46-bed acute care hospital in Holly Springs, just off Highway 55.
It plans to file an application with the state Division of Health Service Regulation on August 15.
WakeMed also plans to file similar paperwork next week for a women's hospital on its north Raleigh campus, while Rex Healthcare wants to add obstetrics and surgical patient beds to its Raleigh campus.
