Question: Our class is working on a "Weather ABCs" book, and we do not have anything starting with "K." Any ideas?

Answer: There are several terms you might like to consider that begin with that letter. For example, a "katabatic" wind is one that flows downhill, while the "Kelvin" temperature scale has units that are the same as the Celsius scale, but has no negative values and begins at "absolute zero," the temperature at which all molecular motion ceases. You could also include "knot," one type of wind speed unit.
